Grants

Building bridges to independence for Arkansans with autism

The Arkansas Autism Foundation is committed to funding yearly grants for projects or programs and community outreach grants that will help “build bridges to independence for Arkansans with autism.”  We are proud that we have provided over $145,000 in grant and scholarship funding.  We will continue to offer these grants on a yearly basis as our fundraising allows.

Community Support Grant Cycle

Grant applications will be accepted from February 1st to March 1st. We invite applications from individuals who require funds for various needs.  This may include after school programs, summer camps, sensory items and respite programs or private respite providers. Requests must align with our mission of “Building bridges to independence for Arkansans with autism.”

Grantees and individuals served must reside in Arkansas and have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder or a related disorder. Grant funding is available up to $150.

The community support grant is closed as we have exceeded the number of grants that we can fund.

Projects and Programs Grant Cycle

The Arkansas Autism Foundation is will open grant applications from May 1st through June 1st, with funding decisions announced on July 1st.
This grant opportunity is specifically for projects and programs that support teens and adults with autism. Please note this is not an individual grant. Funding is intended for initiatives that benefit two or more individuals and align with our mission of building bridges to independence and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum.

“Special” Respite Grant Cycle

This respite grant project is funded by the Arkansas Lifespan Respite Coalition and the Administration on Community Living. Applicants will receive notification upon receipt of their application. Funding of up to $500 is available for various types of respite care, including private in-home care, private babysitters or PRNs, respite programs, summer programs, camps, and activities that provide respite for families.

We are no longer accepting applications for respite grants. For more information about these grants, please visit: humanservices.arkansas.gov.
